<\/a><\/p>\nWith eight, high octane structures in\u00a0The Fast <\/em><\/strong>&<\/em><\/strong> Furious<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0franchise tallying $1.78 billion domestically or a stupid $5.17 billion worldwide and clearly Universal is aiming to keep the cine box office busting vehicle cruising along. Last year\u2019s installment,\u00a0The Fate of the Furious 8th<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, added a huge chunk to that total with over $226 million domestically or more than $1.28 billion worldwide, so it\u2019s obvious that the hype for this film-verse is still strong. The studio had previously set the 9th installment for an April 2019 release, but now,\u00a0Fast & Furious 9 <\/em><\/strong><\/a>has been delayed.<\/p>\n As\u00a0THR\u00a0reports<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, Universal will now release\u00a0Fast & Furious 9<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on April 13, 2020, Easter weekend. Currently, details beyond that are non-existent. There is no director announced as of yet or it\u2019s unclear if\u00a0F. Gary Gray<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>will return behind the wheel; he does not have any announced projects coming up so his schedule should be clear.<\/p>\n Viewers can expect the installment favorites like\u00a0Vin Diesel<\/strong><\/a> and\u00a0Michelle Rodriguez<\/strong><\/a> and\u00a0Tyrese Gibson<\/strong>, and\u00a0Ludacris<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>to return, but no casting has been confirmed at this point. We are not sure if\u00a0Dwayne<\/a> Johnson<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Jason<\/a> Statham<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>will continue in their supporting roles since they might just have their own\u00a0Fast and <\/em>Furious<\/em>\u00a0things going on.\u00a0Fast and Furious 9 Release Date<\/a>, Trailer, Story, Cast<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Elsewhere in the\u00a0Fast and Furious<\/em>, a 10th installment was previously announced or scheduled for an April 21, 2021 release; it\u2019s unclear if Universal will shift that date as well.<\/p>\n Buried within that latest news comes another announcement from\u00a0Universal and DreamWorks Animation:\u00a0Trolls 2<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>will move up from April 10, 2020 to February 17, 2020.<\/p>\n Walt Dohrn<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0returns to direct the movie with\u00a0Gina Shay<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0once again producing.
