<\/a><\/p>\nIt seems by now that\u00a0James Cameron<\/a>\u00a0Hollywood stars has spent long time talking about his coming\u00a0Avatar<\/em>\u00a0sequels\u00a0than he’s actually spent making them.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What’s clear, however, is that the movie maker has high plans to make his sequels<\/a> just as much of a practical feat as the first one was upon its release back<\/a> in april 2009.<\/p>\n While he is certainly made this clear over the past year (for example<\/a>, he wants people to watch the movies\u00a0<\/a>in glasses-free 3D), Cameron has revealed the\u00a0Avatar<\/em>\u00a02 will be set apart by something which has taken his team a year or a half to just figure out: underwater<\/a> motion<\/a> and capture<\/a> technology<\/a> – something he claims has \u201cnever been done before.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re doing it,\u201d he told\u00a0Collider<\/em><\/a><\/strong>\u00a0ahead of the 20th anniversary of his movie\u00a0Titanic<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s never been done before or it\u2019s very tricky because our motion capture system and like most motion capture systems and is what they call optical base and meaning that it uses markers that are photographed<\/a> with thousands of cameras.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThe problem with water is not the underwater part<\/a> and the interface between the air or the water and which forms a moving mirror. That moving mirror reflects<\/a> all the dots or markers or it creates a bunch of false markers. It\u2019s a little bit like a fighter helicopters dumping a bunch of chaff to confuse the radar system of a missile<\/a>.
